Clinton Orville Stoner, 84, died August 30, 2009, at his home. He was born September 7, 1924, a native of Palmyra, Nebraska, he was a resident of Yucaipa. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was with the 27th NBC Seabees. He was was a sales representative for Chevron USA, Inc. for 38 years. He was an avid outdoor sportsman enjoyed fishing, bird and big game hunting. As a top notch trap clay bird shooter, he served as a California hunter instructor. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and held many offices over the years with the Yucaipa Gun Club. He was also a member of a Sportsman club Southwest Anglers in Inglewood. He served on the Yucaipa Citizen Patrol. He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Sue Stoner of Yucaipa; son Stanley Stoner of Portland, Oregon; brother Leo Stoner of Pierre, South Dakota; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is predeceased by his first wife, Mildred, in 1992. Funeral Services were held on Friday, September 5, at Emmerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel 35208 Yucaipa Blvd.
