Chiyoko A. Cruz

March 15, 1928 — April 30, 2018

Chiyoko A. Cruz, 90, of Redlands, died Monday, April 30, 2018.

Chiyoko married Bill Cruz and came to Redlands from Naha, Okinawa, Japan to build a home and family.
Chiyoko is preceded in death by her husband, Bill and a son, Junior.
The beloved mother is survived by her sons, Jim and Jay, and her grandsons David, Dylan, Josh, Nick, and great grandson, Jeter, and a sister Fumiko Holland, Redlands, and two brothers, Chobuko Ashitomi, Okinawa, and Saburo Ashitomi, Sao Paulo, Brazil.
Chiyoko had several employments, but she worked at La-Z-Boy West from 1967 to 1993.
During her retired years, Chiyoko took her grandsons to Okinawa so they could be introduced to her Japanese culture.
Chiyoko enjoyed going on world trips to Australia, South Korea, Hawaii, and Okinawa.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, May 22, 2018 from 9:00 - 10:00 am, and Service at 10:00 am at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Redlands, California. Burial to follow at Hillside Memorial Park, Redlands, California.
