Catherine "Cathy" Ann Rhodes Jacobs

Catherine "Cathy" Ann Rhodes Jacobs, beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to many, passed away on June 16, 2023 at the age of 68.

Cathy was born in Alaska on March 7,1955 to Beverly Omer Rhodes Jr. and Tomalee Rae Noland Rhodes, she was the youngest of six children.

Cathy graduated Oakton High School in Oakton Va. in 1973. In 1980 Cathy graduated Skadron Business College where she studied accounting II. She worked for the San Bernardino Co. Sheriff's department in the Scientific Investigation Division as well other office clerk positions in the county.

Cathy is preceded in death by her parents Beverly Omer Rhodes Jr. and Tomalee Rae Noland Rhodes, her three brothers Roy Louis Rhodes, Beverly "Bo" Omer Rhodes III and Charles Raymond Rhodes.

Cathy is survived by her four children Brian Napier Lumsden, Catherine "Carrie" Ann Lumsden, Charles Curtis Lumsden and Victoria "Tori" Rose Mary Jacobs. Her grand children Ashley Elizabeth Lumsden, Cristo Adam Gonzalez, William Phillip Hill and Charlotte Christine Smith. And her great grand daughter Grace Alexandria Rinehart and two sisters Mary Elizabeth Rhodes Dewees and Carolyn Rae Rhodes Tetley.

Cathy really loved hiking in the great outdoors, fishing with her friends, pointing out the stars and exploring God's beautiful creations. We know she is dancing in heaven and singing in the angels choir and will be very missed by all who knew her, loved her and who spent time with her.

Cathy's celebration of life service will be held at Emerson-Bartlett Memorial Chapel in Redlands, Ca. on Tuesday July 18, 2023 at 11:00am. Followed by a celebration of life reception immediately after at the Mill Creek Cattle Company in Mentone Ca.

So with you: Now is your time of grief,

but I will see you again and you will rejoice,

and no one will take away your joy.
