Benjamin was born on January 1, 1945, to Pedro and Maria Ugarte in Chihuahua, Mexico. Lena was born on January 13, 1948, to Luis and Trinidad Gonzalez in San Bernardino, California. Ben and Lena were married on March 16, 1968, at Christ the King Catholic Church in San Bernardino, CA.
They were blessed with 4 children: Ramona Morris (Jimmy), Anna Atkins, Benjamin Miguel Ugarte (Adriana) and Marina Bravo (Lou).
They were blessed with 8 grandchildren: Brock Morris, Darren Atkins, Joshua Atkins, Jeremiah Ugarte (Monika), Matthew Ugarte, Nicholas Atkins, Isaiah Ugarte and Delilah Ugarte.
Ben retired from the County of San Bernardino in 1996. Lena retired from the San Bernardino City Unified School District in 2017. They loved spending time with their children and grandchildren. They enjoyed vacationing in Lake Tahoe and Carpinteria and visiting National Parks. They were devoted spouses, parents and grandparents. They will be greatly missed. They will live in our hearts forever.
Our family would like to thank Redlands Community Hospitals around-the-clock nurses for taking care of our parents.
