Arizona Roberts Ortega

Arizona Roberts Ortega, “Bobbie”, age 84 of Yucaipa, California passed away in her home on June 10th.

She was born in Ohio on September 7th, 1937. She spent her early years living on a farm with her grandparents and helping them on with the farm with the animals. It is there where she would begin to create many memories that would become future stories to tell her kids, grandkids and great-grandchildren.

She married her first husband, Jack Leaf, when she was 17 years old. They moved to California together and had 5 children: Connie, Randy, Rick, Terry and Michelle. She remained in the south bay in California and married her second husband, Benny Ortega, and they had one child: Marcy. She spent some time of her life with her family in Texas but then returned to the south bay area in California in 1984.

From the south bay area, she relocated to Yucaipa, California in 1989 where she lived with her family for the rest of her life. Bobbie waitressed in many restaurant establishments throughout her career and loved interacting with all different types of people. She enjoyed her off-time working in her garden, being with her family, shopping and cooking.

She was a beloved wife, mother of 6, grandmother of 7, great-grandmother of 13 and great-great grandmother of 3. She joins her son, Rick, in heaven and leaves behind her husband, Benny, 5 remaining children, many grandchildren and great-children and many other loved ones.
