Anna Marie Harris

Anna Marie Harris, 78, of Yucaipa CA passed away August 15, 2023 after a long battle with cardiac related issues. Anna is survived by her husband John Thomas Harris; sister Paula (Jim) Mercer; daughters Marie (Gregory) James, Michelle (Armando) Acosta, and LeAnna (Daniel) Jacobson; grandchildren Dyan Elmore, Jessica (Aldo) Morrone, Hailey Jacobson, Kathryn James, Clayton James, Ethan Jacobson; and 4 great-grandchildren. Anna was born to Harold and Eileen Parsons on September 23, 1944.

Anna grew up in Yucaipa. After attending Yucaipa High School, Anna was active in the Yucaipa community making children’s lives better through her continuous efforts as a PTA president, Girl Scout Troop leader and softball coach and manager for many years.

Her family will remember Anna Marie as a woman who lived her life the way she wanted. She enjoyed and loved her family, travelling and collecting art with Tom, celebrating with family (she was probably one of the only grandma’s to dance Gangnam style at her grand-daughter’s wedding), wearing bright and shiny earrings, taking trips to the desert, cooking Christmas pies and special pasta. Grammie Bear had a big kitchen and an even bigger heart.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you celebrate with those you love and take those trips you’ve put on your bucket list.
