Angelina Macias Atilano

July 24, 1915 — December 29, 2009

Our dearly loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Angelina Macias Atilano joined her beloved husband, John, in eternal rest on December 29, 2009. She was born on July 24, 1915 in Los Angeles to Ramon and Rosa Macias. She grew up in Redlands and moved to Mentone in 1934 when she married John. She lived in the Mentone home that she and John built until her death. During her years on this earth she busied herself in her home preparing meals, desserts, jams and jellies for her family, sewing clothing for her children and herself, tending to her flower gardens, feeding the birds that frequented her yard and reading. She was sister to Ramon Jr., arnold, Delores, and Rosie Macias and to Jennie Gutierrez and Esther Munoz who all predeceased her. She was also predeceased by her first born son, John Jr. She is survived by her son Raymond Atilano, and daughters Anita Briones (Ernie) and Linda Atilano Chase (Stephen). Also surviving Angelina are her grandchildren Ernest Mark Briones, Carl Craig Briones, Michael John Briones, John Charles Chase; and her granddaughters Lisa Briones Green and Maria Angelina Chase Ashton. Great grandchildren who survice her are Gina, Andria, Laura and Ariana Briones, Cameron Rose and Chloe Angelina Green and one yet to be born in June 2010. The family would like to thank Comfort Keepers and especially Paulette and Darlene for their loving care over the last year. We are truly blessed to know that Mom and Dad are together again on the ballroom floor in the clouds waltzing among the stars. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2010 from 6-8:00pm with the Rosary at 7:00pm at Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, 703 Brookside Avenue, Redlands, CA. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2009 at Hillside Memorial Park in Redlands, CA at 11:00am. Family under the care of Emmerson Bartlett Memorial Chapel, Redlands, CA.
