Agnes Margaret Segar 95, passed away from natural causes in the early morning hours of Thursday, January 17, 2013 at the Redlands Healthcare Center. She was born November 25, 1917 in Clarion, Iowa where she attended schools in Wright County. Agnes moved to Redlands in 1941 where she raised six daughters, was active in community organizations such as Sacred Heart Church & School, Meals-on-Wheels and Family Services. She also worked for the Redlands Schools in Children s Nutrition Services. Agnes was preceded in death by her husband, Harold F. Segar, parents John and Rose Schumacher, brother Charles Schumacher, daughter Martha Provence, son-in-law Derek Bill and grandson Adam Bill. She is survived by her sisters Joanne Schumacher of Redlands and Esther Knight of Webster City, Iowa, daughters: Rosmary Grisafe, Lake Forest, Michele Butler, San Jose, Sue White, Ventura, Jane Silky, Ruther Glen, Virginia and Tina Bill of Albuquerque, NM. Agnes was also the proud grandmother of 17 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. The viewing will be at Emmerson-Bartlett Mortuary, 703 Brookside Ave., Redlands, 793-2311, on Wednesday, January 23 from 4-8pm with a Rosary said at 6:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church (The Holy Name of Jesus), 115 W. Olive Ave., Redlands, on Thursday, January 24 at 11am, with burial immediately following at Montecito Memorial Park, 3520 Washington St., Colton, CA. Agnes will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. Her unconditional love, support and encouragement will be remembered and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
